Majuli Island in India

Majuli Island is in the Brahmaputra River in the Indian state of Assam. It is the largest river island in the world. It is located about 20 kilometers from the city of Jorhat and it can be reached from Jorhat first by taxi or bus and then by ferry or private motorboat from Nimatighat.
